Vehicle Description

Sick of paying rent but want to avoid homelessness? Consider surfing local Walmart parking lots and cracker barrels in your own over-the-road pirate ship project motorhome. This winnebago does start run and move but not reliably enough to appeal to suburban families or anyone that would not consider a ride behind a wrecker part of a vacation.

2001 Winnebago Adventurer on a ford chassis with the Gas V10 engine. Great coach in ridiculously great condition inside. Clean as a pin, no odors, everything appears to work as it should. Even if you decided not to travel with this but use it as a stationary unit this could be a great choice. Like all other vehicles on our lot, its here for a reason. While the engine does start and run fairly well and the coach drives there is a slight hesitation / miss in the engine. With a vehicle this nice we wanted to dig deeper and find out what exactly was wrong. We found that on cylinder #8 there was weak/low compression (80 psi) but we were unable to figure out why. Burned / stuck valve? ring land issue? head gasket? your guess is as good as ours. Worth noting this engine has a neat Banks upgrade package consisting of long turb headers, full exhaust, a true cold air intake and presumable a chip in the ECU for the tune. While we did drive it around the block a few times with no issues as with all vehicles without an inspection, we recommend a tow and can point you to some great folks for the job if you want to be 100% safe. This coach has a generator and that seems to work well, central AC this also works great, we have not tested the water system as we don't have full hookups but from whats obious in front of us, that looks OK. Single slide in living area functions as it should. The only system we found to not work is the hydraulic jacks. No power is coming to this for some reason. Aside from that, overall the things just in great shape and would absolutely be worth putting some work into the engine or using this as a stationary unit on a seasonal site. These go for 20-25k, Selling ours as-is where is for half that, VADLR Richmond Auto Exchange. Call 804-840-5682 for details.

We specialize in vehicles that have a few dents, scratches and or mechanical problems. We will be as upfront as possible and tell you about any problems we know about and this knowledge can save you money but when you buy from us, plan for it to have a rejection sticker and to need a tow to get it home safely.
